Prepare the apples
Peel the apples, remove the cores, and cut them into thin slices or small chunks. Set aside.Preheat the oven
Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F). Grease a baking pan with butter or oil and line it with parchment paper if desired.Make the batter
In a large bowl, beat the eggs with the sugar until light and slightly fluffy.
Add the milk and mix well.Add dry ingredients
Sift in the flour and baking powder. Add cinnamon if using.
Mix gently until you get a smooth, pourable batter.Combine with apples
Fold the apples into the batter, making sure they are evenly coated.Bake
Pour the mixture into the prepared baking pan and level the surface.
Bake for 40–45 minutes, or until the top is lightly golden and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.Cool and serve
Let the cake cool slightly. Dust with powdered sugar before serving if desired.
