Preparation:
Preheat
the oven to 175 °C (350 °F).
Prepare a baking dish (e.g. a cake tin with a diameter of 20–24 cm), line it with baking paper or grease it with
butter and sprinkle
with flour.
Mix the ingredients:
In a large bowl, mix all the ingredients: sugar, cream, butter, eggs, flour, baking powder, vanilla and a pinch of salt. You can use a mixer, but a spoon will also work – mix everything well until the mixture is smooth.
Toasting:
Pour the batter into the prepared pan.
Bake for approx. 30-35 minutes (or until the cake is golden brown and the center is springy). Check with a toothpick – if it comes out dry, the cake is done).
Serving:
Once the cake is baked, let it cool and then remove it from the pan.
You can serve it with a pinch of powdered sugar, with whipped cream or fruit, but it is already delicious enough on its own!
