Instructions:
Preheat oven:
Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a muffin tray with paper cases.
Make the batter:
Combine the flour, baking powder, bicarbonate of soda and salt in a bowl.
Beat the butter and sugar until creamy.
Add the eggs one at a time, then add the vanilla.
Gradually mix in the dry ingredients and milk alternately until smooth. Kitchen Decor Prep
Make the chocolate batter:
Divide the batter into two parts.
Mix cocoa powder into one part to make the chocolate batter.
Fill the muffin tins:
Spread a little vanilla batter into each muffin tin.
Place a piece of chocolate in the centre.
Place a spoonful of chocolate batter on top (and use a toothpick if desired).
