Prepare the Steak:
In a shallow dish, mix flour, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
In another dish, whisk eggs and milk.
Dredge each steak in flour, dip in egg mixture, then coat again in flour. Press to adhere.
Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Fry steaks 3–4 minutes per side until golden and crispy. Drain on paper towels.
Make the Gravy:
Pour off all but ¼ cup of oil from the skillet.
Whisk in flour and cook 1 minute. Gradually whisk in milk, stirring constantly until thickened.
Season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Simmer 2–3 minutes.
Creamy Mashed Potatoes
Ingredients:
2 lbs Yukon Gold potatoes, peeled and cubed
½ cup
½ cup warm milk or heavy cream
½ tsp garlic powder
Salt & pepper to taste
Instructions:
Boil potatoes in salted water until tender (15–20 mins). Drain.
Mash with butter, warm milk, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until smooth.
Garlic Green Beans
Ingredients:
1 lb fresh green beans, trimmed
2 tbsp butter
2 garlic cloves, minced
Salt & pepper to taste
Instructions:
Blanch beans in boiling water 2–3 mins, then drain.
Sauté garlic in butter 1 min, add beans, and toss. Season with salt & pepper.
Serve hot: Place a crispy steak on mashed potatoes, smother with gravy, and add green beans on the side. Enjoy!
