👩🍳 Preparation:
Cook the pasta according to the package instructions until al dente and then drain.
Heat a little oil in a pan. Finely chop the garlic and sauté briefly.
Add the gyro meat and sear until nicely browned.
Slice the onions, add them to the meat, and sauté until translucent. Then remove the pan from the heat.
Transfer the cooked pasta to a large casserole dish and sprinkle with a layer of cheese.
Spread the cooked meat and onion mixture on top and cover with the remaining cheese.
Finally, pour the hollandaise sauce evenly over the casserole.
Bake in a preheated oven at 220°C (top/bottom heat) for about 20 minutes, until the cheese is golden brown.
Serve straight from the oven—this casserole tastes fantastic reheated the next day!
