How to store parsley
The first step is to wash the parsley in water. During this step, remove any leaves and twigs that look dry or damaged. After washing the parsley, spread it out on several sheets of paper towels to dry.
Fill a jar halfway with water, preferably glass, as it preserves food better. Dip the parsley stems into the jar, just as if you were cutting flowers. Then cover the top with a plastic bag, the same kind used for freezing food. Secure the plastic bag with a rubber band that you then wrap around the top of the jar.
How to store parsley
Cut the two outer sides of the bag with scissors to allow air circulation. Now you can place the glass jar with parsley in the refrigerator. Ideally, you should place it in the bottle compartment on the inside of the refrigerator door.
If you don’t have enough space in the refrigerator, another way to store parsley for longer is to put it chopped in a glass jar. Before closing the jar, place a sheet of paper towel between the lid and the opening. The jar can be placed in the refrigerator, preferably upside down.
