First, make a batter of margarine or butter, sugar, eggs, baking powder and flour. Cut the apples into large pieces (e.g. eighths, depending on the size of the apples) and fold them into the batter. Then pour the entire batter into a greased cake tin and smooth it out a little (although it is easier said than done).
Baking:
Now bake in a well-preheated oven at 180°C on the lowest shelf for about 1 hour. After 45 minutes, brush with plenty of butter and sprinkle with plenty of sugar or a mixture of sugar and cinnamon. (If the batter should turn brown earlier, just cover with baking paper for the remaining baking time).
Serving:
Fantastic, super juicy and goes great with whipped cream. It may seem like there are too many apples in relation to the batter, but don’t worry. The dough will reach the apples and just act as an element to hold them together.
Enjoy your meal!
