Mississippi Roast Recipe

  • Instructions:
    1. Prepare the roast: Place the chuck roast in the slow cooker.
    2. Season: Sprinkle the Ranch dressing mix and Au Jus mix evenly over the roast.
    3. Add
    1.  butter & peppers: Place the stick of butter on top, then scatter the pepperoncini peppers around the roast.
    2. Cook: Cover and cook on LOW for 7-8 hours (or on HIGH for 4-5 hours) until the meat is tender and easily shreds.
    3. Optional veggies: If adding carrots or potatoes, place them in the slow cooker during the last 2-3 hours of cooking.
    4. Serve & enjoy! Shred the meat with forks and serve with the flavorful juices.
