Preparation method:
Bring the water to a boil and remove from heat.
Add cinnamon (powder or stick) and ginger. Let it steep for 10–15 minutes.
When the drink has cooled slightly (so as not to destroy the vitamin C), add freshly squeezed lemon juice and apple cider vinegar.
If you want, you can sweeten the drink with honey.
Strain through a strainer into a jug or bottle.
Tips for serving and storage:
Drink 2 cups a day:
One in the morning, preferably on an empty stomach,
The other in the evening, about 1–2 hours before bedtime.
You can serve the drink hot or cold, depending on your preference.
Store in the refrigerator for up to 2 days – it’s best to make a fresh batch every day.
Stir well or warm slightly before drinking.
Variations:
With mint – a few fresh mint leaves add a refreshing aroma.
With green tea – replace some of the water with green tea to enhance the antioxidant effect.
With turmeric – add a pinch of turmeric for an anti-inflammatory effect.
