Olive Oil Dip with Warm Bread

Instructions

Prep the garlic and

herbs
Finely mince or grate the garlic. You want it very small so it blends into the oil.

Mix the

dip
On a small plate or in a shallow bowl, add:

garlic

Italian seasoning, basil, oregano

red pepper flakes

salt and pepper

Parmesan, if using

Pour the

olive oil over the top and stir gently.
Add a small splash of balsamic vinegar or lemon juice if you like a tangy note.

Rest (optional, but better)
Let the dip sit for 5–10 minutes so the flavors meld, especially the garlic and herbs.

Warm the bread
Wrap bread in foil and warm in a 325°F (160°C) oven for 5–10 minutes, or lightly toast slices.

Serve
Sprinkle with fresh parsley if you’re using it, set the plate in the center of the table, and serve with warm bread for dipping.

Variations

Cheesy version: Add extra Parmesan and a pinch of mozzarella on top, then briefly broil in an oven-safe dish.

Lemon-herb version: Use lemon juice instead of balsamic and add extra fresh herbs like basil or thyme.

Garlic-lovers version: Gently sauté minced garlic in a little of the olive oil until just fragrant, then mix with the remaining oil and herbs.
