Prickly Pear Cactus & Lime Drink

1. Clean the cactus pad

  • Rinse the nopal under fresh water.

  • Carefully remove any thorns or rough spots with a knife.

  • Trim the edges and cut off the base.

2. Cut the nopal

  • Slice the pad into small strips or cubes to make blending easier.

3. Blend

  • Add the nopal pieces to a blender.

  • Pour in 1 cup of water.

  • Blend until smooth and thick.

4. Strain (optional)

  • If you prefer a smoother drink, pass the mixture through a strainer to remove pulp.

5. Add lime

  • Squeeze 1 to 2 limes into the blended juice.

  • Stir well.

6. Taste & adjust

  • If the drink feels too thick, add a little more water.

  • Add honey or agave if you want sweetness.

7. Serve

  • Pour into a glass and drink fresh.
