1. Clean the cactus pad
Rinse the nopal under fresh water.
Carefully remove any thorns or rough spots with a knife.
Trim the edges and cut off the base.
2. Cut the nopal
Slice the pad into small strips or cubes to make blending easier.
3. Blend
Add the nopal pieces to a blender.
Pour in 1 cup of water.
Blend until smooth and thick.
4. Strain (optional)
If you prefer a smoother drink, pass the mixture through a strainer to remove pulp.
5. Add lime
Squeeze 1 to 2 limes into the blended juice.
Stir well.
6. Taste & adjust
If the drink feels too thick, add a little more water.
Add honey or agave if you want sweetness.
7. Serve
Pour into a glass and drink fresh.
