
Quick and Easy 3-Minute Fudge Recipe
In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the 3 cups of semi-sweet chocolate chips with the can of sweetened condensed milk. Stir them together gently.
Place the bowl in the microwave and heat on medium power for 1 minute. After 1 minute, take the bowl out and give the mixture a good stir. Return the bowl to the microwave and heat in 30-second intervals, stirring between each session, until the chocolate is fully melted and the mixture is smooth. This should take about 2-3 minutes, depending on your microwave.
Tip: Be careful not to overheat the chocolate as it can seize up. Stirring frequently ensures the chocolate melts evenly.
Step 3: Add the Vanilla
Once the chocolate is completely melted and smooth, stir in 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract. The vanilla adds a subtle flavor that enhances the richness of the fudge.
Step 4: Pour and Set
Line an 8×8-inch or similar-sized pan with parchment paper or lightly grease it to prevent sticking. Pour the chocolate mixture into the pan, spreading it evenly with a spatula.
Smooth the top and tap the pan gently on the countertop to remove any air bubbles.
