Whisk the eggs with the sugar in a bowl until golden brown (about 4 minutes).
2️⃣ Add milk, melted butter, vanilla and lemon zest – mix.
3️⃣ Sift flour, baking powder and salt, add to the egg mixture and mix gently with a spatula.
4️⃣ Line a baking tray with baking paper and place the strawberry halves on it.
5️⃣ Pour the finished batter over the cake – the strawberries should be slightly submerged.
6️⃣ Bake at 180 °C (top/bottom heat) for 35-40 minutes until golden brown. 7️⃣ Leave to cool and sprinkle with icing sugar. Done! 🍓✨
