Mandarin cake with Fanta – an irresistible dessert full of freshness

tangerines (peeled, cut into pieces)
Topping:
1 packet of cake jelly
slices of tangerines (fresh or from compote)

Sponge cake:
Preheat oven to 180 °C. Separate the egg yolks from the egg whites. Beat the egg whites with a pinch of salt until stiff peaks form. Beat the egg yolks with sugar until foamy, add flour with baking powder and orange peel. Finally, carefully fold in the egg whites.
Pour the batter into a baking tray lined with baking paper and bake for about 25–30 minutes. Let cool completely.
2. Cream:
Separate about 100 ml Fanta, mix vanilla sauce powder and
sugar in it. Bring the rest of the Fanta to the boil, stir in the mixed pudding and cook until it thickens. Leave to cool completely. Beat the butter until fluffy and beat in the cooled pudding in batches. Finally add the mandarin slices.
