Fill the jar halfway with water, preferably glass, as it preserves food better. Dip the parsley stalks in the jar, just as you would cut flowers. Then cover the top with a plastic bag, the same kind used for freezing food. Secure the plastic bag with a rubber band that you then wrap around the top of the jar.
